On Monday, 18th October, the Airbus Friedrichshafen team connected dedicated Waveguide bridges to the SAR Antenna to allow us to check the health of the SAR before it is declared ready for flight.
Paul, Cedric, Marco and Christian are only with us for a few days to carry out these very important steps for the Instrument before we start the Functional testing of the SAR and AIS Payloads in the following weeks. As you will see the Spacecraft had to be tilted into the Horizontal orientation to give access to the team to integrate the Waveguide bridges which connect each part of the Antenna even when the SAR is in the stowed configuration.
