During the Sentinel-1C launch campaign, the team had the opportunity to explore life outside the working week. They visited the historic prison of Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni, which once housed Henri Charrière, the author of “Papillon.” The team enjoyed typical dishes at the iconic restaurant La Goulette, located on the shore of the Maroni River. The tour also included an exciting trip on a pirogue, navigating up the Maroni River and crossing the border between French Guiana and Suriname.
